Privacy Policy

SubNest is a local-first tool for managing household subscriptions. Subscription data is private, so by default we collect no bank account or payment credentials at all.
What we collect
Only what you type in: your email, a hash of your password, the subscription names, amounts, cycles and charge dates you record, plus how you refer to household members. Passwords are stored as hashes — we never see the plaintext.
How we use it
This data exists to calculate your monthly spend, spot duplicate and zombie subscriptions, and split costs between members. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where it lives
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (SubNest uses its own isolated schema, separate from other projects). Production traffic is encrypted in transit.
Payment details
Payments are handled by a third-party merchant-of-record platform such as Creem. We never see or store your card number.
Third parties
We use hosting (Vercel), database and payment processing services. Their handling is bound by this policy too.
Your data rights
You can export every subscription as CSV at any time, or delete your account and all data in one click. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS and session cookies are HttpOnly. Members can only see subscriptions in the households they belong to.
Children
SubNest is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
